LIONS TO RAISE FUNDS for DISASTER RELIEFS

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is seeking Lion Members of District 20-K1 to team up in raising much needed “Disaster Relief” funds. Funds donated by everyone will be used to alleviate pain and suffering experienced recently by Haiti, The Carolinas (Hurricane Matthew), Louisiana and West Virginia (Major Flooding) among other areas suffering from recent disasters.

Money raised will allow Lions to assist in meeting the pressing needs in the above mentioned areas and other devastated areas in the world. You are truly helping Lions make a difference in those affected communities. LCIF thanks everyone (lions and non-lions) who contributes to this important work. Donating directly to LCIF is the best way to help those communities that need assistance immediately.

Lions of District 20-K1, let us commit to show the world that we staunchly stand by our motto, “WE SERVE”. If you desire to have your donations eligible towards a Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF), please do not specify a specific disaster area, simply identify it as a donation for Disaster Relief, this enables LCIF to direct the funds to the area most in need following a disaster to provide for immediate, mid and long-term relief.

Who we are: We are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and the world and work together to fulfill those needs. We are a part of Lions Clubs International which is the world’s largest service club organization with nearly 1.35 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in 206 countries and geographical areas around the world. Since 1917, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired and made a strong commitment to community service and serving youth throughout the world.

Lions Clubs International Foundation is the charitable arm of Lions Clubs International. Established in 1968, LCIF is committed to providing humanitarian services to those in need, including providing disaster relief, saving sight, supporting youth and combating disability. LCIF was ranked by a Financial Times study as the #1 non-governmental organization with which to partner. Learn more at www.lcif.org.

In Service,

PDG Barbara Moody, District 20-K1 LCIF Coordinator
